Howard Silverman lives in Columbus Ohio with his wife Janet. They have three children: Mark who is 24 and a sportswriter; Heather who is in college and Jason who is graduating from high school this year. They also have a beautiful little granddaughter, Hailey.
Howard is the Spiritual Leader of Beth Messiah Congregation. Beth Messiah is a community of Jewish people, intermarrieds and Gentile people who embrace Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah and are committed to Jewish life and practice. Howard is also the President of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations. He serves on the Board of the Messianic Studies Institute as well as an instructor.
Howard’s academic interests include the Hebrew Bible, Biblical Studies, Rabbinic Literature, biblical exegesis of both Hebrew and Greek Scriptures. He is currently (forever?) a graduate student at The Ohio State University in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. His passion is to study and teach the Word of God and to share the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah. He is concerned about issues affecting Judaism, the Jewish people, Israel and the Messianic Jewish community.
In his spare time, Howard is a big fan of the New York Yankees, the Cleveland Browns and (of course) The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Fantastic to find your blog, Howard. I’ll keep on reading. I’d love to re-connect when and if you have time.
gil!!
how wonderful to hear from you!
Enjoying your blog. I have a question for you. A few years ago I found an audio file of you where you shared about going to bible study. Someone shared some scripture with you not letting you know where in the bible they were reading. It was Isaiah 53. I thought for sure I saved that audio file…but I can’t find it. Do you have a copy?
Hello Howard! I used to go to your Friday night bible studies when you lived in Cleveland Hts./South Euclid. It was in the mid to late 1980′s, but I have never forgotten your teaching. I also attended classes you taught at a Moody Satellite classroom at Brush High School. I loved the services at Tikvat Yisrael; it was so richly encouraging to me. I’m glad to see you’re still in Ohio! May God Bless your ministry forever! …Trudy
